Blade vs Blade West?

I have not been to either, but from what I have read on this and other forums, Blade is far superior to Blade West. From what I understand, the Oregon knife show that just finished a couple of weeks ago is the best on the west coast.
Even though Blade is a better show than Blade West, that does not mean that Blade West is not worth going to. It is one of the big shows and you will get a chance to see lots of great knives and meet lots of makers and knife knuts. Get to whatever knife shows that you can, the experience is fantastic.

I've been to Blade West & Knife Expo since they are local shows. I like Knife Expo better since the organizers are knife people & there are more custom makers attending. Blade West has been a disappointment.

Never been to a knife show I did not enjoy

Should not matter. Just go to the ones you can and enjoy.
If I was on the west coast I would think the closest show that rivals the size of Blade is in Eugene OR.
