This weekend there's a classic car festival here in Reno they call Hot August Nights. You can find it on the net in case you're curious.
What it means to locals with nothing to gain by the 200,000 extra people who flood into Reno is a big headache. Streets get closed, can't find a place to park, traffic is like Los Angeles -- in short, it's a mess and hard to get daily chores done.
I hate it. Bah. Humbug.
So, if you don't see me around as much as usual you'll know I'm sitting in traffic on Virginia Street -- swearing.
