This came up awhile ago, and I thought I could answere it with these pics. Now after looking at the knives, Im not sure. It would apear to me that I have a Benchmade modle 10, 30 and 35 here. But the tang stamps are all different sizes (the butterflies that is, wich could vary with tooling...). The oposite side of the tangs are all marked differently as well.

The sheaths are all different as well... Now I do understand that the sheaths may or maynot be origonal to that knife. I know this has been brought up before, but I have have figured it out.

Anyone care to break it down, pebble level? Check it out:

You got it right. From top to bottom in first picture, 10, 30, 35.

Characteristics of 10:

utility blade, no swedge

exposed pins

no bevels or chamfers on skeleton holes

Characteristics of 30:

polished weehawk utility blade, i.e. has a swedge

exposed pins

no bevels or chamfers on skeleton holes

Characteristics of 35:

polished weehawk utility blade, i.e. has a swedge

polished pins

chamfered skeleton holes

Using picture 4 as the reference, my best estimate at what you have:

Top: Model 10 from PC, based on the Pat. Pending stamp.
Middle: Late BM Model 30, based on the later blade swedge and the Benchmade on the tang stamp.
Bottom: Early BM Model 35, based on the early swedge grind and the the lack of a Benchmade stamp. The Made in the USA stamp was used during the transition period.

Then again, I may be wrong.
