Might anyone know what a BM 239 goes for these days? Thank you kindly.

I bought one less than 6 months ago, and paid $100.00 It is mint condition, and has a sheath, and I think I got a hell of a deal at that price.

Thanks blade 420. I know of one for $150, but it's in good shape, not mint. Sounds like you did indeed get a super deal. No sheath for $150 either.

Looking at those old price sheets is a painful experience, and can induce insanity. Those were the days.

Thank you AA1, sounds like $150 is a bit steep for the one I was looking at.

Thank you GTA. You take care in your travels, especially in times such as these.

Recently picked up a beater with a worn sheath for $90 as well. The 130's were around $130 each, but they were in very good condition with sheath.

No, I'm assinged as an Embassy guard at the time. :barf: I have to stay here and keep the wolves at bay.

Sorry, osama, I cann't come out and play today...

Hmmmmm.... Did the economy BM bali's realy come with sheaths? My practically mint 259 came with its blue box but the bali was in a small plastic bag, not a sheath. Got it for 75$, on BA of all places:)

Yeah...it can be painful looking through the old B-SC, Inc.., PCC..., and BM catalogues. The only thing I have to appreciate about being "old" is that I liked 'em then too :) !!

They weren't supposed to come with a sheath as far as I know.

Tony, thanks for your input. I'm not familiar with the 130s, any pics?

Tony,

I think the two was PC international series. The third one is BM.

BTW, I got a BM239s at 250000 rups (=100 bucks that day) in 1990 with leather sheath. Unfortunately, being a novice, I didn't notice the condition (manipulated, with latch hit marks on the blade tip). Otherwise it is ok. I guess price were so inflated because they had to bring in illegally (importing of knife is not allowed here, stupid)

I think there is a web (Jonas' collection) that has 130 on it .. linked from Chuck's site.

You're right as we've discussed in the previous thread. I was just letting him know what the 130 Series looked like, and the corresponding blade types. I should have been clearer in that the 130's were the Chrome slotted handles and the 140's were the Black slotted handles.

Tony
