the G10 on my 710 is rather smooth and sucks to grip when my hands are sweaty. Is there a way to retexture(?attack with a file or dremel?) the handle or just get some new handles put on there. maybe micarta? Its just not grippy like my emersons.

If you don't mind spending a few bucks, you can take the scales off and send them to one of the custom makers here on the forum to bead-blast them. That will give them a rougher texture.

Ask around and see if anyone is willing to bead-blast them for what you consider a reasonable fee.
