I just received one of these fairly recently and believe it to be one of the finest fighters I own! It has a beautiful satin finish with a mirror polished tanto point - it is somewhat of a showpiece as far as "field grade" fighters go. Anyway, it is absolutely beautiful.

The handle is G-10 and has an indentation groove in the palm area. This provides a solid grip and is excellent for twirling the blade in various ways to transfer from reverse grip to hammer grip.
The scales are sculpted to fit the hand quite comfortably and the presence of an integral guard protects the hand from slippage.

The tang is tapered expertly which provides one of the liveliest blades I have ever handles! This knife really wants to move around in your hand - it is very fast and easy to manipulate.

The steel is ATS-34 and the blade is hollow ground in the saber style. The spine of the blade is ground to a perfect V. Although it is not sharpenned it can be useful for trapping and impact type techniques.

Bob Lum pays attention to the finer more subtle characteristics of a knife which ultimately results in a first class blade - a rarety that is a pleasure to own.

Just handled one at the Guild Show. The only problem was i didnt have the money to buy it.

His folders are cool also....

I just received my C46 Spyder Lum from Bob, and started working with him on a custom dagger design. Bob's work is almost zen-like in it's simple suggestion of form. Just awesome. Great artist.
