Anyone use Boker's 440C. I am looking at their 4474 and their 7474 Stag stockman. I am a fan of 440C in general, just wanted to see if that was the same as the normal 440C that we see in custom knives and whatnot. Am I on base or what?

I have a knife in 440C by Böker.

They've been using that steel for years and years and are really good a squeezing performance out of it.

I wouldn't worry about it's quality.

in the 80s felix boker commented that boker was only european co that had mastered the heattreat on 440c. hhave'nt checked the edge durability but these demand a preminum price from boker.they do a good polish on the blades.

I love the 440C from Boker. Even the Chinese made knives that have it are good. It is my understanding that Boker imports US made 440C to China for the knives made there.

Agree with all of the above. I have a few Boker Plus folders in 440C, all good. The Resurrection in fact is simply a very good folder, on a par with the strongest Kershaws, close to a ZT. And its steel is very good too.

Make sure it says 440C though... ;)

Ok guys that is what I thought. Just wanted to make sure that it was actually 440c and not a misrepresentation like what alot of Chinese knives have.
