Got my Boker today and the sheath that comes with it is totally worthless. Hard, edgy plastic, impossible to remove with one hand..
I am wondering if anyone has a custom sheath for this knife? I understand the value for the money factor, but I'd gladly pay extra for a decent sheath straight from the manufacturer.
Thanks!

Ive got the original Miltner adams of that same knife.. Ill try to come up with something for ya! I know what you mean man.. not the best sheath system for that knife.

if you have some specifics you want to discuss give me a shout!

If not, no biggie..
Ill see what I come up with though.

Yeah.. it was the design that boker bought from miltner adams..
Very cool knife!

I have one of the originals as well. I never had a problem removing or re-sheathing it. There is a tab at the handle end of the sheath that you need to push outward just a bit and it releases the knife. I do it with the back of my finger.

Very interesting.. in the last image on the bottom, is this how you're supposed to hold it in a forward-facing position? Because I thought the index finger goes in the second hole from the tip, not a middle one. And my index finger doesn't fit in there, but even when I try to hold it like the picture shows, it's very uncomfortable, with my index finger riding the side of the blade.
The upside down option works fine, but I'd want to be able to use it in a normal way too.
Anyone has pictures of how people hold it?

Esav,
Yeah, I figured it out but it still feels clunky and impossible to do fast. I'd prefer a simple sheath along the lines of what LaGriffe uses, where knife can be drawn quickly and effortlessly with one hand.

Ask over on our sheath forum and see if anyone is interested in making a reasonably priced Kydex sheath for it.

As for the grip, point forward, my index finger goes in the second hole, middle finger between holes, and ring finger in the last hole. That leaves my thumb free to press down on the top of the blade for control and extra force.

I can hold it with index in first hole, middle in second, ring between, and little finger in the last. This less comfortable and leaves no room from my knuckles to the point.

This is exactly how I want to hold it, but the second hole is too small for my index finger. I can wiggle it in and get it trough but it's just not comfortable and sends shock through entire palm on hard slashes or thrusts. Maybe I have fat sausage fingers after all? :(
I posted this in another forum, but are there alternatives to Boker? I really like this design and could live with shitty sheath had it fit me properly. Anyone else makes similar-designed knives?

Nothing that I know of. Miltner-Adams has a larger size, I don't know if it's large enough for you -- and it's much more expensive.
