just got a good deal on a NIB vox rold. i paid about $95 shipped :)
wondering if i could get any feedback from other owners on how well this thing performs. its a beautiful boker offering and im really digging the overall size, handle shape, choil and blade shape. curious as to how bokers d2 is and how the "crappy" sheath really is. is boker offering a better fitting replacement sheath that i could swap for the one comes with it?

thanks!

for those who dont know which knife we're talking about:

wow, its unfortunate bokers new offerings arent that popular...
i'll just have to see how it performs once it arrives :)

Was this released this year? If so, you might have to wait until next year, if enough people complain about it. I just purchased a Mosier (released last year) and I was pleasantly surprised by the redesigned sheath that resolved all the problems some reviewers had with the original (too tight and broadly shaped).

Ok, the Rold is one hell of a knife. I love it. Perfectly balanced, chopps as good as my BK-7, though its significantly shorter. Edge holding is outstanding.
I used and abused the knife a lot recently and it is currently my absolute favorite.
You'll be happy with it.
I will post a review soon.

thanks so much! i should be receiving mines today :)

EDIT: received the rold just now!!! it arrived with a new sheath w/ clip system ive also seen on sog knives. the thing is by far the sharpest production fixed blade i have ever received without any exaggeration. fix will follow when i get home :)

I wish it was still offered with the white scales and blue lanyard. I thought that was a rather striking combination not often seen in the knife world. It just doesn't look as elegant in black and red.
