Named as Bornean Ironwood but it can be found in Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Flores even Philippine.
It prefers well-drained soils, sandy to clay-loam, sometimes limestone. But i planted in peat swamp
In early stage love to shaded by other trees
We see nothing around it, but it planted under several trees, young leaves start to grow
Planted next to a small tree
Similar to tree above Gave it some guano from the attic of my house. Looks better.
Handle from Bornean Ironwood, which i made for a knife, now given to my Australian friend.
A piece of ironwood that i used to test my parang made by local blacksmith base on my design
I am very pleased with this parang
Today pics
Around our electric fences
Warmest regards from Borneo
Can wait for 4th of August: http://goingback2dforest.wordpress.com/
