Another one that is hot of the press. A Bowie fighter with Presentation India Sambar stag (may be some of the best I have), patterned Damascus, all fittings are Damascus. The knife blade is a little thicker than 3/16 at the guard and has a distal taper. The blade length is right at 7 1/4 " long and overall is 12 3/4 inches. Skullcrusher is shaped so you could put a leather strap on it or not. Damascus is 1080 and 15n20 steel. Stand is Oak and included. Dan, You must have bought every 19th century carver in existence. That's the only place I know to get stag like that. Wish I hadn't spent all my play money. Well I did get your dagger.
 
This is new stag not from a carving set. I have more as I traded ivory for boxes years ago.
 
Dan: I'm not much of a bowie fan, but this really impressed me - love the popcorn stag and the damascus pattern.......nice job.

Dan - this is a really great looking knife - one of your best! I keep thinking you are going to run out of that fantastic stag, but they just keep coming.
 
I didn't think there was any stag like that available today. Very nice stuff with a very nice Bowie! I'll have to be alert for the next version. It will hard to best this one.
