I don't know if this was asked before but I was just curious as to why this design feature wasn't put in the Manix?

I have the old Endura which I think is an excellent "go to" tool and EDC but the tough Manix is what I really want so I'm trying to save up for this.

The spring is stiff, so I would think that accidentally unlocking it is not likely. Therefore, no need for the boye dent.

While I am a fan of the Boyle dent, I believe the Manix looks much better without it. IMHO the dent would take away some of the "tough" look the knife is known for.

The "dent" also makes it much easier to unlock the blade when you want to. If the spring is stiff, that's a good reason to have a dent.
