I'm having some trouble taking apart this model. I really like the satin finish I've seen on other self customized models so I wanted to take mine apart and satin finish it. The trouble is I take off the bolt but the large pivot pin is still stuck in there. Looks like its been filled in with some red lock tight, but I still don't see how to pop the pin out after you remove the lock tight. I poured some acetone which usually works on lock tight but its still as solid as ever. Any ideas?

Sometimes the loctite can grip the heads and hold that way and other times there may be some that formed a lip of sorts preventing the pivot from moving.

Heat with a wood burner tip nice and hot or a soldering iron can help or you may want to just start the bolt back in the threads good for a few turns but still standing up and give it a tap after placing a small slice of hard wood over the head. That may snap it free. I wouldn't get real rough with it but you are best off to use a clean flat board like a 1x something and make sure where you sit the folder is set up with a shallow hole drilled in it partially so the pin has somewhere to travel when you tap it. That is if you sit the folder so the pin can move down without hitting the board. The barrel should start to move out with a tap from a rubber mallet and then you can try the board or if you use a light hammer with a thin board over the head and once it moves and frees up you can unscrew the bolt again and take it out the rest of the way by hand. Hope you follow that.

followed your directions and it worked like a charm. Broke it down, stripped the coating, polished and buffed it up. Still big in the pocket but it looks good.

They do have a good size foot print don't they? My 200 would actually Wave opened if I had on tighter fitting jeans where the traction grooves for the thumb up on the spine could grab the corner of my pocket as I pulled it out. It was pretty good too as I recall. I loved the knife and the grippy texture they put in the scales was second to none but it was just huge. Too much for this guy so I sold it off. ;) No question about the quality though. Top shelf all the way on those ZT folders.

I feel the same way. Its really well made but almost too big for my pockets. Although I think too wide and fat would be more accurate. I used to carry large knives like a BM610 or 630, but this 0200 just feels fat in the pocket.
