well, i managed to break my timberline envoy today. i did a tune up on my 806bm today, it had some blade play but just a turn of the screw and it really tightened up nicely :) my envoy on the other hand was a diffrent story. i slightly tightened up the pivot screw and it "locked" up, so i loosened it alittle and it got slightly better but it still had ALOT of drag. by the end of the day i completly dissasembled it 3 times, washed it, dryed it, and lubed it. and its still draging heavly. any ideas? im going to try to get the snap on man to send the knife back when i see him again in the morning but i some how doubt that this will fall under waranty repairs or free tuneups like BM.

I don't know a thing about the Envoy but I do know that in reassembling a Sebenza, for example, you have to be careful to put the large and small washers on the proper sides of the blade, and you have to line them up right or they will jam and create drag when you reassemble and try to work the blade.

The Sebenza "problem" Ed described is an issue with other folders as well, check whether you put the washers in the right spot.

i put the washers back in right, i layed out every thing as though i was working on a carb on a nice clean table with good light. i sent the knife in today, its going to be a few weeks before i see it again. hopefully they wont whimp out on the waranty and ill get my knife or a new knife back. i payed 47 bucks (marked down from 75) from the snap on truck, the scales were slightly wore from being a display knife so hopefully they will fix that to.
