Bruce:
Great knife. I like your work and your web site. Like Joe, I hope to start making knives in the very near future. I have actually started making three knives already but have a lot to learn before I can finish them. Keep up the good work.

Bruce,
That's a great site you've put together. Now all you have to is throw some pictures of knives on there that don't have "sold" written across the bottom

I'm trying to get some posted on my site for Sale it just seems other people like them better than I do.I make all my Knives one at a time and I can only go so fast.I have a couple more on order at the moment then maybe I will have time to get some others made up.Really I hope they keep selling as fast as I can make them.....The bill collecters get paid on time that way,you know they get funny about me paying them late.If somewbody wants to give me an Idea for a fixed blade I will make it and post it here for sale before anybody else gets to see it.....Bruce

Bruce,

Some nice looking knives on your site. You seem to forge with 5160 (?) alot besides the damascus. What's the advantage/disadvantage of that steel over some of the more conventional stainless steels like ATS34, 440C, etc?

Personaly I have not tried the different high alloy steels so I cant compare them to my Knives. As for my liking 5160 so much is that I would rather use one steel and perfect it,instead of trying to remember the variables of so many others.I have used other carbon steels and like alot of them but each has it's place to me 5160 is a good allaround steel for big and little Knives,it sharpens real easy yet holds a good servicable edge.I have a good local source for new round rod 5160 that I can get anytime I need it,also a few years ago I got 1500 pounds of it.This steel work's great for the A.B.S. testing which I will be doing real soon so I want to know what my steel is doing.Hope this answers your Question sorry Ive been so long winded........Bruce
I am just a OLD FIREBUG thats why I forge.
