Bruce Evans

I have no experience buying from him yet, but all I've seen here on BF was extremly positive. I'm sure that the guys who actually have knives from him will tell only good things. I admire his knives too.

Bruce makes very good knives. He's put them through the same rigorous testing program I use, so their handling, cutting and durability are well proven. You just can't go wrong with one of his knives. Besides that they also look great!

Hey Guys!

Flava - how are you? Haven’t heard from you in a long time! 10x for the kind words.

Jerry- you prove again what a gentleman you are - stepping forward and admiring another maker’s knives is so much like you...

In comes another factor - but I will email you about it - pls. Check your mail.

Anyone has hands on experience with his knives?

Hiya Gadi, I've never met Bruce or handled one of his knives, but I wouldn't hesitate for a second about ordering a knife from him. First of all, I love his style of knives, second his website and the tutorials there shows me he knows what he's doing. Third he's one of us, he's part of the BFC community. There's just no way you can get a bad knife from this man.

BTW, that's some knife you're looking at, the dragons must be real bad this season. ;)

Bruce is the best! His damascus is gorgeous and he is a real gentleman in his business practices. It would be hard to name another maker more generous with his time and knowledge than Bruce Evans. Do not hesitate for a moment to buy one his beauties.

As Jerry said, I do prototype and performance testing for Bruce as well as Jerry. Plus, I own one of Bruce's Dragon Slayers myself.

The Dragon Slayer is both beautiful and cuts and moves like a demon. I actually wrote a review article about it for Jim Keating's E-zine some time ago. I will find it and email it to you if you like. Bruce himself is a terrific guy to deal with. I can recommend him and his work without reservation.

As a person, don't think you can do better than Bruce. He is one great guy!

As a knife maker, I don't think you can do a whole bunch better either. He is a forger, and a serious one, meaning he is constantly trying to make better knives, with better and better steel. He has a fertile mind/imagination, and much of his work looks like nobody else's.

Go for it! I intend to order from him shortly.

Bruce is a super cool guy, makes some great knives and is very easy to work with. He is mainly known on the forums for his bowies but he can make just about anything. Here is a damascus spear point he made for me a while back.

I own a couple of Bruce's forged fixed blades: medium sized boot knife and a small drop point skinner. Both are hair popping sharp and the symmetry of the grinds are great. They slice meat very well. :) He makes nice leather sheaths: not the run of the mill plain and boring stuff, but ones with a lot of character.

I have also handles a few of his large bowies - gorgeous pieces of work. Bruce makes his knives to be USED -> they aren't just pretty things to just look at and hang on the wall. ;)

Thanks for all the kind words here everybody.I really apriceate them.I'm glad to here that everybody is happy with the knives that they have recieved from me.
Bruce

Like I could decide anything else after looking at the DragonSlayer for such a long time...

Anyway:

Gaucho - yes - I would very much like to read your review - it seems you set the standard on fighting knives testing these days...

PhilL - Yes man - the Dragons are terrible this year...the yard is full of them - and the knives I have are hardly fit for that...and Jerry's Millenium 8" fighter is in the night drawer so I can't use it either...

Maybe a sword is in order...

So - I think it's on to the ordering stage - and I will take it to BE himself.

10x for all the good remarks and the help - it is much appreciated.

Well -the order has been sent - and now the wait is on...

The handle is going to be slightly different also - to help in retention.

It should be only a few weeks...

I will update as soon as I get it!
