Buck 120, just got one looking for a history lesson and a price.
It's got a flap over leather sheath, 7 inch blade, and fairly dull but fixable.

Also the text on it says

And the text is facing the blade weird.........

Hello Rachet,
I cant tell from the pictures but is the BUCK of the blade stamp closest to the guard? If it is, its what we call an inverted 3 line 120 and it was made around 1972, just after we added the model number to the stamp.
Sounds like you got it for a great price too, congrats!

As far as value/worth goes you could search online auction sites and see what similar ones have sold for. I'm pretty sure the board rules are that if you don't have a membership level that allows you to sell on Bladeforums (Gold or higher) then you're not allowed to make inquires as to what something is worth so in that case you'll probably not get any answers to that question.

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH?!?!?!?!
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only.

Not trying to bust anyones balls just wanted to give you a heads up.

Rachet, While yours is the stamp Joe speaks of making it a harder to find model 120. It has been badly reground thus altering its original shape. DM

DM is not kidding you on that one, Ratchet.

"Badly reground" is putting it mildly.

Who tortured that knife?

I don't think looking at the 120s on e-Bay is going to give you much of a clue to its value.

You'll have to look a long time to see one that awful looking.
