Buck 124 Fixed Blade - Replace Handle?

Hi, I'm newish, so go easy on me. Hope this is the correct forum.

I have an old Buck Frontiersman 124 that's a user. It's been subjected to all sorts of abuse, including throwing practice, and more. The aluminum end cap is pocked / beat up and handle rivets are loose allowing the handle to rattle around and pinch the hand.

Can someone recommend a shop, or anyone here on BF, who can help replace the handle?

I'm thinking of leaving guard but removing the pommel and wood sides in favor of a single piece of g-10 on each side. Again, it's a user not a museum piece so I'm looking for something that can take some abuse.

Thanks for any tips...

Your best bet is to call Buck and see what they suggest. The knife does have a 'Forever Warranty', so I am sure they will fix you up.

Plinko, you can e-mail Leroy Remer at triple-r-knives@cox.net or give him a call at 619-561-2442... He was Bucks first Custom knife maker... He's in Lakeside, CA ... (San Diego) ... Good luck... Tell him I said hi... ITE ... ;)
