I've been having a problem finding out if this is really a 1991 model. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Shawn

I think you are right. The + indicates 1991.

Thanks Plumberdv, I was confused by the OD handles, all the other I've seen had black handles.

It came in both. Here's a poor scan of the 1991 catalog.

That is not the correct sheath for that knife. I don't think that knife ever came with a sheath ?

Here's a screenshot of the 1992 catalog that shows the sheaths that came with them that year.

Here's the 1991 catalog. It shows the sheaths in the upper left of the picture and they don't look the same as the one you have. It looks to be from later.

SB, you can see on the back of your sheath that it has 422/442... That's for the next size up, with the 3" blade... And yours came with a camo green nylon sheath maybe more like a pouch with a velcro closure on top... I'm trying to find a picture of one like yours, but can only find a picture of a older 424OD and a older 422OD with there sheaths... I think yours came the same way... I think the snap sheath came out a few years later...:eek::confused: ...
Pdave, I'm sure your right on this one...

Kev, post #7 shows the '92 catalog with the cordura sheaths with the snaps. Post #8 shows the '91 catalog and the nylon sheaths like what ITE showed.

oops-I was hoping I retracted that before anyone saw it. Typical of me bouncing around reading posts and commenting before catching the whole conversation-sorry buddy.
