This is such a fine little knife. I rarely see these anymore. Almost cringe when someone wants it modified but its the owners call not mine.

This one is here for a low rider clip and a thumb stud to make it more convenient to carry. Big as this is it will be a nice feature to have a clip for sure. Not that its a big knife really, just a bit big for loose pocket carry.

I have never drilled into one of these to thread it. Lets hope its really nickel silver. Could regret this in short order if its stainless. Pretty sure its not but we'll know shortly.

Here are some before shots of it.

Ok this one went well with not one surprise.

Delrio you will like this little guy now.

I would not make a habit of taking the clip on and off. Its for sure nickel silver. Just like brass you can easily overtweak these threads and ruin retention. I recommend you leave it just as it is and it should be fine.

Otherwise its a fairly easy opener compared to a lot of Bucks I've added a thumb stud to for end line users. In that regard its fine I think. Hopefully you'll agree. I don't mean to sound like you will be opening and closing it all the time but when you need it out to use it the blade is easy enough to retrieve.

Also due to the immediate bend to fold the clip over and how close it is to the mount screws the clip has to rise up a bit there or the pocket rim snags on the screw heads. This can be problematic for some conversions but I only have so much space to make it work. I find it quite easy to use though and I am betting you will also.

Thanks again. It will go out to you in the morning mail.

Look for a USPS web site tracking email shortly.

Looks great. I cant wait.

As to the comment on altering this knife. I struggled with the decision for months. This model is my all time favorite user. However, it was sitting on my dresser collecting dust cause I cant wear a sheath and its too big to sit at the bottom of my pocket. My first 532 sat in my back pocket for years till it fell out un-noticed and was lost. I didnt want that to happen, so its replacement was used very little.

So, I finally decided to give it a try with the hopes of the 532 becoming my edc again. I figured if it didnt work, I would embark on replacing it. I have done it once before, and as hard as they are to find, I figured patience would win out.

It seems you pulled it off without damage. The first step was successfull. Now for the test... to put it in my pocket.

Dude (if I may), I cant wait!!!!!

I had to look to see what that dark spot is on the front view of the clip. Must be on the glass of my scanner cause it ain't on the clip! Just made me wonder when I noticed it.

Anyway, its in the mail. These are nice little Buck knives. No question about it that BG42 alloy is nice. Took a super edge too!

Thanks
