I went through my stuff and found this Buck catalog in my Buckmaster box. I think it is from 1985. Enjoy!

I have that honing set and still use what is left from the original bottle of oil.

Cool, I'm always looking for the old and new Buck catalogs... I don't think yours is a 85 catalog... The 412 Scoutlite came out in 1986... So maybe your catalog is a 87...

Thanks for sharing and nice pics.... ITE

Thanks for sharing. I remember as a kid, there were family friends who had a gun/sporfting goods shop. In those days, they had free catalogs for each brand for whom they were an authroized dealer....as well as a huge display case of Bucks. I remember lusting after the Buckmaster and Frontiersman and poring over the Marlin, Winchester, and Smith and Wesson catalogs, dreaming about what I would buy if I had the money. After the shop closed, one of the sons sold the few remaining bucks on ebay for a fraction of their value....if I had known ahead of time, would have given them fair value for them all.

Thanks for the memories!

Thanks a million for sharing that catalog. Many here will greatly appreciate it.

Well done!

Hadn't looked at this catalog before. Aside from the first appearance of the Buckmaster there are other interesting things here. The honing kit "Triple Sharp" with a wooden base. The Treasury - I didn't know about these knives.

All of the Buck dealers catalogs are available online at the BCCI site, but your posting this here brought to my attention one that I probably would not have looked at for some time, if at all.

Good post (and good quality scans). Thanks.

I didn't have a pot to p*$$ in when this brochure was made. I was lucky enough to get the Buckmaster for Christmas in (I think) 1984. I always wanted the titanium 186 but couldn't afford it when I was in college. So many still on the list...

Talk about dejavu, that brings back some fond memories.I was freshly home out of the Marines when the Buckmaster came out.I had to have one and I still have it.It hardly ever gets used anymore.Back in the day I fed alot of campfires with that knife. If I remember correctly, that knife new cost $120 to $140 back then. That was one months rent in my first apartment at that time.
