Buck Custom Shop Question

Hey guys,

Last year around this time I ordered two knives from Bucks Custom shop, been EDC'ing one for the past year and gifted the other to my father last Christmas. They were both NS, finger grooves, rivets, water buffalo scales and a black oxide blade - what great knives have they been.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever asked for any special requests when ordering from the custom shop and if Buck could take care of it? All I'm looking for is ordering a couple more custom knives, but with the black oxide on the SV30 blade, which is something not offered in the current line up on the site.

I can't imagine it's a big deal to coat a couple blades but not sure if they will do that for me? I haven't contacted Buck to see if they will but was going to see if I got a quick response on the forum.

You can try anything. But, they will not do it. You can order a black coated S30V AG 110 from cabelas and the Buff knives from the CS and send them to another knife mangler and have the blades switched.

Yes jb is right, Buck does not do custom work anymore from what I hear, but I know theres a few guys here who could do something like that for you.
 
Yeah, sadly Buck won't vary much these days.

I think your best best would be to find a Canadian who could help you (look one post up:-)
