Just a heads up that the Hoodlum is finally available from Buck's website.

I sent SMKW an email when another forum member mentioned he got one from them with Ron Hood's signature on the box. I never heard back.

That would be $92 and free shipping as it shows up on my computer......I suppose it's the same for all members of the BCCI.

I don't know that Lifers get a better discount than others.

(?)

Anyhow......if that ain't a great incentive to join BCCI......I don't know what is.

:)

I am a new Buck life member (#2245) effective earlier this year, but don't know anything about the BCCI discount from Buck. Where would I find this information??

There should be a password in your paperwork that will allow you to log in on the Buck website and go to "knives" and then your member discounted price will show up in red.

:)

Ahhhhh....thanks!!

I left home not long after I became a life member in the spring and haven't been back yet. That's where all my paperwork is.

I should be home in a couple months and will check then.

Well that figures. I got tired of waiting and ordered something else with my discounts yesterday. Oh well, win some, loose some.

At least you can take credit for causing it to become available on the website......and we all witnessed it!!!

:D

That is a good deal!

However, I was never to log on for some reason. Emailed Buck several times about it to no avail.

Oh well, already bought one from SMKW's for a lot more.

The Buck Hoodlum just came available on Buck's website four days ago and now it's not even listed on their site anymore....available or not available.

Hummmmmm..............

Too many orders came in too fast.

It was to be expected.

:)

I understand about orders coming in too fast, but on Buck's website they have two spots under the item....one says "view details" and one says " add to cart".

A knife that is not currently available only has the "view details" tab and not the "add to cart" tab.

What I am saying is that you can not find the Buck Hoodlum anywhere on Buck's website.

This is just conjecture on my part but from the last Web Special we know it can be a challenge keeping things straight between the website and actual inventory at Buck. With the long weekend and a flurry of orders it might have been easier to just pull the Hoodlum off the website to avoid overselling available stock. Just a thought.

My local 'things-sharp-enabler' has a few 'on the way' from Buck. They had just completed 80 of them, according to his phone conversation with them a week or so back. The best mail order/web price I've seen is $141 - and they don't have any now. My local store had them earlier in the summer - ~$165. They have lights/A/C, etc, to keep on. Still...$92 is a deal.

I can log onto Bucks website with my original pre-bcci password, But not with my newly aquired membership password. I would love to pick up one of those Hoodlums and a C-Sar T at a good price! I didn't know members in the club received a discount on stock items.
