Buck Knives.

Are all Buck knives made in the USA?Are all 110 model knives made in the USA?
No, and yes.

No, not all Buck knives are made in the U.S.A., but yes all Buck 110 models are made in the U.S.A. to the best of my knowledge.

As others have mentioned, the venerable Buck 110 is US made, through and through. Certain other models are made overseas and these are clearly indicated in the Buck catalog. Buck has committed to repatriate it's foreign manufacturing of the small number of models not made in the US.

As was mentioned by A.P.F. a quick look through the catalog on the Buck site will show an American flag for the US made knives. All the fixed blade knives are American made.

I think it was something like 87% USA made that I was told when I took the tour of the Buck plant last month. They were also working to bring even more back to USA made.

The repatriation is part of the program where they built the new factory to accommodate more production.

I like to see jobs coming back to America, but one thing about Buck is their commitment to customer satisfaction. Made in America or not, they stand behind their product, you don't have to keep the origional packaging, you don't have to save the reciept, you don't even have to be the origional consumer. If you have a Buck they want you to be happy with it.

(As an interesting side note... did you know that some companies consider the retailer to be the origional customer meaning that the end consumer has no warranty unless the store is willing to work with them?)

This one got me thinking. The 2011 catalog was on the corner of my desk so I started counting model numbers.
Final Tally
USA = 138
Not=26
