I was in to set up some stands fir my bear baits today, and the blackberry and rashberry bushes were super thick, which got me to thinking, does buck make a machete?

I think a 1095 carbon steel machete with black teflon coating would be a super handy item to have along setting up hunting spots.Anyone else like to see one?

Any photo's RB? We need some photo's of your bear season.....from start to finish! I think the new HOODS WOODS would help you trim the bush.

This has been the hardest site to post pics that i'm a member of.Do i need a photo bucket account or what?Every image i try to upload and lost ,it always says to make them smaller, yet its the smallest i can make em already.

RB, every time we post to these web sites it takes up space. good photos take up a massive amount of space, the photos need to be saved in a compressed size, 800x533 if I remember correctly. this smaller amount of space helps the web site and some folks computers also cant take the larger size photos. we do loose some of the photos nice quality by resizing. But, the lower size will let you post your photos. A photo host like photobucket lets you save the photos at this size each time you put one in your account, and you can still keep you original photo on your disk so you can still enjoy the unaltered photos. Our old Buck Buddy chickentrax had a nice tutorial on how to set up and post photos from photobucket, it also had the correct size to save the photos.

Machetes tend to be a low cost commodity item that sit in a crowded market with comparatively little demand here in the US. I've handled the upscale machete designs by companies like Blind Horse Knives and Fiddleback Forge. They are all great offerings but I'm not sure the extra $100 they cost over, say, a commonly available $20.00 Collins or Tramontina delivers a comparable level of improved performance.

Even if Buck brought a product to market at half that cost they would still have stiff competition from the low end of the market.

I think Buck is wise to leave the machete market alone and concentrate on other blade sizes.
