I just opened my Vantage Select and whatever QC problems there may have been have been fixed. It was born on 01-11-11. The blade centering is perfect, no blade wobble at all, and was razor sharp out of the box (my arm has the bald spot to prove it). I really like the paperstone scales they give excellent grip, and I dig the color (blue). I haven't had the chance to really test it yet. I'll try to see about prepping some fire materials this week.
