So after getting in some carving time with my new Bucklite Max fixed blade small this weekend I am even more impressed. I am very surprised this knife doesn't get more attention. My favorite blade has been the Vantage and have nothing but good to say about it, BUT, the Bucklite MAX fixed blade literally cuts circles around it. The blade geometry is superior to anything else I've used over the years and is nothing short of amazing. It made my razor sharp Vantage feel like it was dull, it's that good.

Funny, I've looked at that knife before but haven't picked one up. I bought a Mini Mentor as a hunting knife for my son a while back. I liked it so much that I ended up getting one for myself, and it did a great job dressing out a whitetail. My nephew has the larger Mentor that I rolled the edge on trying to cut through a pelvic bone. (Buck fixed it god as new for $). I prefer a smaller knife and will definitely consider one of these.
