Recently while looking at 110's i came across a thing called a buk bar its this little brass bar that screws onto the spine of the blade (similar idea to a screw on thumbstud) i was just wondering if anyone has one or have any idea how well it works compared to a screw on thumbstud? (flick its, one arm bandit ect )

Don't think I have ever seen one as you describe. I have several of the One Arm Bandits and they work well for me. Also, had Ark Knives put a 426 blade, comes with a stud from Buck, into a 110 frame, that is also a way to go.

It's a three sided piece or brass (looks like brass anyway) with two set screws on the side, about 1/2" long. You put it over the top of the blade about where you'd mount a thumb stud and tighten the set screws. Something to give your finger a purchase. Doesn't stick out as far as a thumbstud. Do a google search under Buk Bar.
