This time it's a Lanny's Clip in D-2 with a long pull and a larger Bullocks shield.

"I just like to show'em to folk who know what they're lookin' at."

Thanks, Brent

Hi,

Very, very nice!! With my limited newbie knowledge, that shield is a new one for me to see. I think it's a great choice for this knife. And the colors of the scales is fantastic the way it transitions from one end to the other.

That's fabulous. Nicely matched scales, and the amber color is so rich I'd expect to find a fossil insect buried inside. That beautifully inlaid shield really sets everything off nicely.

Hi,

...that shield is a new one for me to see.

Traditionally, it's a "keyhole" shield, but they're usually named after some kind of scrotum around these parts. Not very romantic, I suppose, but the description makes up for its lack of old world charm by dint of sheer descriptiveness. :D

Those are some incredible scales. The contour looks very nice too from what I can see in the last pic.

I can't blame you for wanting to show this one off. It's definitely something to be proud of. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.

Brent, I think this is your best-looking slipjoint yet!

I prefer the stag to the bone, but everything about this knife is perfect.

You should have this thing down cold by the time you get to my name.::D

Thanks for all the kind response. I'm glad y'all like it!

What's the length on this one Brent?

Rob this is that standard Lanny's Clip of Tony's which is 3 3/4" closed, and the blade is 1/8" thick. The Stag is from Culpepers and it really did end up matching nicely.

Wow, that's stag? I thought it was bone.

It's their dyed Amber Stag and it looks pretty good when the scales match. However nothing is as good as a piece of natural Amber Stag. But who can get their hands on that stuff nowadays!!!!
Certainly Not Me :grumpy:
