Bura fund update.

To date we have collected about $2000 for Bura which I'll be wiring to Pala on Friday or Monday. A special thanks to our generous brothers in Japan.

I can't thank you enough for such great generosity and I can tell you with total confidence that Bura and his family will be overwhelmed. This will come to them as a complete and wonderful surprise in these very dark days for them.

The kamis will be doing puja and sending special untold blessings to all who contributed -- and so will I!!!!

When is he scheduled for surgery so we may offer a special prayer?

We tried to call Pala this Am but couldn't get thru. I can tell you there are going to be a bunch of surprised and delighted Nepalis, including Pala.
 
We are going to get Bura covered. What we will end up sending for Bura will mean much more than anybody here might think. To put it into perspective it will amount to about 15 years salary for an average kami who works outside BirGorkha -- and for Bura it will amount to about 2 or 3 years wages. To us it might seem like peanuts but not to the folks in Nepal.

I think we are going to make it. We just topped $3000 this morning. Wired $2500 to Pala yesterday and emailed him it was coming and where it came from. He had his email man write back to me for confirmation. He couldn't believe it!

I told you so. It will take Bura 3 or 4 days to digest this good news.
