playing with some higher grind lines, eh? This is cool but I like the swat one better. Did you make your own tube flaring dies?

Thanks.
The grind height with the scandi is dictated by material thickness (a variable) and the constant of 12.5 degrees. All Scandi bevels make for a relatively "low grind line". I can bring the convex bevel (above) from a zero edge up as high as I want - it's nothing more than a constant curve. USA Knifemaker sells the flaring dies I use - they are simple to use and provide a superior mechanical connection compared to straight tube pins.

ps I like the Model 1 too but the Chupacabra is much more popular.

I should have said playing with some thicker material, eh ;)? I can see why this would be popular. I bet the model 1 takes over in time!

"Playing" is a good word for it! When it ceases to be fun, I will bail.
