Not really, but this is about as far as "Tony's" strict design envelope will allow. An extra curve or two, a few torx bolts, 5/32 1095, 8.75" OAL, 4" x 1.75 x 5/32 Scandi bevel blade.

Thanks for taking a look.

I like the extra curves! What handle material is that? I like the layered look, not just black.

Thanks, Matt.
Jantz calls it Black & Tan G10 but its really Black and Gray. For some reason, it's more "grippy" than mostof the G10 I have bead blasted. I am still working on having the heads of the bolts spin like the wheels on my truck do when stationary.

I like it, a few curves never hurt anybody!
It looks like it would still be very comfortable in a variety of grip positions.

It's all downhill from here, BMK.
Next week you'll be posting forged FFG sabers with precious stone inlays in the handle and Tony will leave you for a maker who does nothing but bare kiridashi.

You'd better send me that pimp knife to stop the infection in its tracks. :D

Come on guys...this knifemaking stuff is serious business - quit fooling around!

Hesparus,

Thanks for looking and commenting. I have used both handles. One "looks" more comfortable. Humans are visual and when the "comfortable" signal goes from the eyes to the brain, the hand has no choice but to concur. Both handles are comfortable because they are held by the most adaptable machine ever built: the human hand.

If you are fit, use your hands like they were designed to be used: pull ups, climb a rope, work, climb rock...almost any handle works perfectly and is comfortable. If all you do with your hands is push a pencil around then no grip is really comfortable if you use the tool hard enough.

It's not about the knife, or the grip or the steel or even the Canola quenchant. It's always about the hand and brain behind the tool.

Jeff

I like the handles you've been doing lately — they look more comfortable.
