Myakka - how does the NATO water bottle and cup compare to Nalgene? How do you carry? Thanks

Can I just ask, what are people actually showing here ? What I mean is do you all carry all this everytime you go on a hike or only when Multi-day hiking or when camping ?:confused:

If you are only doing a dayhike Fonly why would you need Your Becker and your Master Hunter ?
All I generally take is what is in this pack...

If I'm hiking in good weather in a popular area I sometimes only carry my Wolf Pup and a Bic lighter !

Need something to pass the time, plus I usually I dont. Its just one I use while staying for more than a day hike, but still a "bushcraft" tool, well, to me anyways. :D

OK bro I'm with you now,as they are both cool knives I'd be tempted to alternate them in my kit !
I know it depends where abouts you are in the world but where I am I'm pretty sure I would never need an axe or even a large blade. Many survival experts just advocate a Mora ( as you all know ) for your PSK's so I'm sure I could manage with a sturdy 5" blade !!!:D

Just day hike, play in the woods for a day type stuff for me. It changes too, but same basic idea.
 
Myakka , what is the use of the wood-handled hook?

I don't think I've seen one of those before, did you make it?
 
Their called crooked knives, common carving/woodworking knives. you can search google and should be able to find info about them there.

here is a few pics of my pack and my PSK....

i also use this pack for mtn.biking ..... i do a lot really long mtn. bike rides and i always keep the essentials in here..... i actually made a few PSK's this past x-mas and handed them out to a few bowhunting and mtn. biking friends....:D
