Although the knife arrived this morning, I felt that rushing out to the woods in the rain would be less than the cheery experience I envisioned, so it will have to wait till tomorrow's promised sunshine.

The usual accolades are appropriate, however: the knife is beautiful, the sheath holds it so well ,,, grunt, ugh, akkk! ... ahh, OK, I got it out. It only took about a dozen insertions to wear it in nicely. :)

Whoever modeled for the handle has hands the same size as mine. Perfect comfortable fit.

I will continue the review after tomorrow's expedition into the wilds of suburban New Jersey.

Thats just how I like a sheaths life to start out! Once it wears in it'll give great service.

It's perfect now. If I leave about 2" out, it grips it securely, but a light tug will pull it out. If I push it in another inch, it's as good as locked in place and takes 2 hands to release it. Very solidly constructed sheath.

thanks for the review, Esav!!
