bushcrafter, hunter, or woodsman

I've been reading through the posts here lately, and I have come to REALLY admire these knives. I'm definitely looking to purchase at least one in the near future, but I have a few questions first.

I'm trying to decide between the bushcrafter, hunter, or the woodsman. What are the main differences between the handles on these knives? I like a thinner, more rounded edges on my handle. From the pictures, it seems the bushcrafter has more of this sort of handle, but I like the longer 4.5" blade length on the hunter, but would like to have a 5" blade.

Also, what is the approximate turn around time to get one of these knives these days?

Thanks a lot!!

The Bushcrafter handle terminates in a different shape than the Woodsman and Hunter. I can do thinner. All my handles are rounded nicely. Get the Hunter. Its a good all around woods knife.

I'm out about 8 months right now.

You won't be disapointed with any of Andy's handles. Buy any of the three that you mentioned - sounds like the Hunter might suit you - and then order a thin handled version of whichever blade length you want. If handles matter to you, then you have come home! :)

Eight months! Either business is going very well for you, or you take a long time in crafting these excellent knives. I'm guessing that it's the former.

I mix the orders in with one offs for sale in the forums, and also with KSF's knives. I find that only about half of my order placers are taking their knives when they're ready in this economy. Cant blame em. You can't feed knives to your kids. But that also means I can't rely on orders to feed mine. I don't take deposits, and I won't either, so when someone walks away its no hard feelings and no refund necessary. The knives have sold quickly for the most part. So what I'm saying is that the orders being out 8 months isn't because they're 8 months of solid work, but that thats how long I'll likely take to finish them.

I'm putting the finishing touches on both models.

BTW, 6ft, have you looked at the Terassaur. The blade is 4.5". I've got convex and scandi ones in the current batch.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Probably going to put an order in for a hunter, e-mail will be coming in a day or two.

I have a woodsman and it is an excellent knife with a bit longer blade, yet it acts like a smaller knife. VERY nimble in hand and keeps a super sharp edge. Does that help?
