This is the Bushpacker Pocket Kit. It`s similiar to my Pack Knives, but have a slight thumb recess on top of the blade for better control. These are being offered in your choice of 5/32" O1 ($110.00), or 1/8" O1 ($105.00). Like the Pack Knives, these are 6" overall, with a 2 3/4" blade, and 1/8" thick micarta or G10 handles. Included with the kit is a matching handle 1/4" firesteel, and leather pocket sheath. Your choice of scandi grind or convex. I am taking orders now for delivery starting in August.

I REALLY like that pocket sheath John. I'm gonna need one of those for my next small knife design (for my August slot). I'll send you a template in the near future. Can you get bamboo scale stock?

Jeff

Very nice. Ever think of offering the pouch pocket sheath like you made me for my ewok? It is a perfect setup.

The knife shown is in 5/32" stock, with black canvas micarta and is available for $110.00

Not much interest in this, I thought it was kind of neat. Of course I think they all are. :D

We agree with you!

Too bad our bank accounts don't :(

I've just about saved up for my June spot, though, which has been tough with the busted car, so I'm happy about that, anyway :)

Got my Pack Knife and I am loving it. I would like to add the red micarta fire steel and a leather sheath as pictured above to my rig. Please let me know what I owe you and I will put it in the mail John. I surely would not give up on any of your designs. They are all very well made and functional in design.
Regards,
Ron

There's nothing wrong with the design, John! It's just short in the money department! Don't give up on any of the designs you do! Everyone I have seen so far has been great! Nobody has any problem with your work, that is for sure! Just need to get the word out to a bigger group of people!

I just claimed the pocket kit knife John currently had for sale, I'm not too familiar with JK Knives. (or many other maker's for that matter, I only have production knives except for a Martin Tejas folder)

This one looks really cool and useful. I'll probably use it for camping once in a while and keep it in my car's glove box for the rest of the time for those occasions that I need a knife but left mine at home:)

I'm glad you did. I kept coming back to this thread and I was about to claim it. I could not take it just sitting here with no home to go to. Enjoy it, and post lots of pictures of it!!!!!!

John, I really like this model. I thought about changing my order to this model, but I think I'll leave it alone for now. If I had the money I'd just get both. Glad somebody got it so it's not tempting me any more.

It just came in the mail today!

A very stout little knife, the sheath complements it very well.
Blade width is thicker than I figured it would be and the fit and finish
is fantastic, better than expected.

I'll get some pics up real soon.

Great knife RussB. I'm sure it will find it's place for you. I'm awaiting my sheath and fire steel for my Back Pack knife. It should be in tomorrow. Just getting my fix by admiring yours. Enjoy.

Hi RussB -

Excellent pictures!

I will be interested in hearing your impression of Stomper's little Pocket Kit.

Nice Strider, too!

Thanks for the pictures -

best regards -

Thanks for the compliment Flatsman, this is a small but capable knife ready for some real work, the fire steel is really cool too, had to put out a small fire in my back yard
before it got to serious ;-)

Yeah, are you still taking orders? I am afraid I will have to workm that into the mix.:o

Black Full Flat grind like.
