Hey Laurence, I was just on your site and saw your Bushwacker. I like it...a lot. Question though, why did you put a false edge on it? Looks like you would want the extra weight.

peter, i asked the same thing when these two hunters and i started talking about their needs.it turns out that they hunt large wild boar with .454 casull revolver's and want a back up
in case the boar is still coming as hell.also the wanted a heavy chop edge to hack bone with. in testing the bushwacker on some 2x4s the extra long handle made up for any loss of weight. i will have #2 done soon, and it will have cocobolo scales, and a more pronounced drop in the blade. wil post pic's.

by the way the chop's and cancdian bacon are tasty, one of the beeny's of knife making.
