Calypso Jr. Why 2 different grinds?

I noticed that the stainless steel one has a hollow grind, while the plastic handle has a flat grind. Why is this?
I like the flat grind and the steel handles. I realize you can't have everything, but why different grinds on the same model?
Also, which is more expensive to manufacture?
Thanks.

I'm glad Spyderco came out with two different grinds. I personally like the hollow grind blade on the ss Jr. Although it's the same material used by Cold Steel, the ss Jr.'s blade seem "higher quality" and "heavier." I realize others prefer the flat grind--to each his/her own--thanks Spyderco for giving us a choice.

Hi Pergatory. When we first made the "intro" Calypso jr.s we made both grinds to see which ELUs preferred. they preferred both, so we make both. Cannot do both on both though, too many SKUs.
