I just ordered myself a Calypso Jr. I haven't bought a new Spydie in awhile. I am so excited about my new knife. I love the look of the Burgundy and the black clip; it looks very classy. I can not wait until it arrives, so I can cut something with it.

I've had my burgundy Calypso for a while now and it is my "office" EDC. My only complaint with it is that the edge never seems to dull so I have no excuse to enjoy a bit of quality sharpening time with it. :)

Just recieved my Jr. today. Grind and laminations are amazing! Cuts mighty nice. Looks great.

Blade was coated with a film of what looked like WD-40 which I gently tried to remove with lens cleaning tissue. Looks like there may be another lacquer finish applied to the blade applied perpendicular to the grain of the knife, can't tell without muckin' up the finish. Gold leaf fill on the engraved spider is incomplete (center looks worn, and gray) or is extremely thin. Can anybody tell me if this is typical (Sal?)? Thanks.

Great little knife; I love mine.

As of 10/20/05, Roger at www.knifeworks.com posted that he had just received a new shipment of these knives. I have no idea how many he has left, but anyone interested might check.

Be careful, or it'll be your finger you're cutting off!

Yesterday, I got mine (grey VG-10) back from Golden (needed some clip work, and loosening of the blade, cleaning, etc.). Great warranty work, by the way!

But somehow, I just reached for my Paramilitary again this morning. That G10 handle just can't be beat, the Para is lightweight...I'm hooked!

I carry a mini-dyad also, for when I need to cut something in front of sheeple... :( :( Although the mini-dyad is a wonderful knife, too! I seem to recall a recent post that Spyderco is considering a new run of dyad-type
knives; definately looking forward to that

The big brown truck dropped off my brand spanking new Spyderco Calypso, Jr. today!! WOW!! What a fantastic knife!! I know Spyderco's are awesome knives, but this one just totally blows me away!! I LOVE everything about this knife. I am simply raving about this knife!! You MUST get one!! Trust me, you MUST get one of theses bad boys!!

Geeez, I have been so excited about this knife, I accidentally made another post!! I hadn't realize that I had started this thread!! Sheeeeeeesh!! I am really sorry.
