Calypso ZDP..

IIRC the Calypso runs are done for good. There is the Jess Horn ZDP-189 and the Delica ZDP-189 releases on the horizon though. There will be the Caly III sometime, but that's a long ways off and the Caly III will come in a VG-10 user version and a bolstered ZDP-189 version, so that's also something to look forward to.
 
What do you need another one for Danny? You've got the best one on the planet now!:D

Thanks to you, I do! Guess they were right when they say man is a discontented animal. I just like the Calypso design in ZDP. The forthcoming models are not flat grind from what I see. Just an idea of having another one with brass liners.
 
Well, you of all people know you can mod things! The Jess Horn may be difficult to make it full flat with the swedge, but the Delica can lose the saber and be turned into a flat grind. Also, it will be screw construction so you can change the washers, and liners and whatever else with a bit more ease.

If you're dead set on the exact same thing as before, you can always look on eBay and the exchange forums here, they pop up every now and then.
 
I understand the good brother>> I have 4 of the Burgundy Calys myself. I sold one about 2 weeks ago and I already miss it :( Just kiddin :D But they are a great little knife with that blade steel. That Jess Horn is going to be a kicker for sure. I would also like to see the big C-54 Calypso come back with ZDP-189 and maybe even a Police model with it as well. I also bet that a fixed blade like a Perrin or Temperance would be fantastic with ZDP-189. That is some SUPER blade steel. Your enigma is fully understood by most of us :cool:

You are right! I think I will wait for the Delica.

Getting the CJ now is quite expensive. I will wait for the Delica, get it flat ground and do the mods. Thanks.:thumbup:
 
JD, the temperance is another knife design I like next to the CJ, maybe even more! I have been trying to get one in the regular version but they are still expensive.

SFO who? Please direct me. I will get one. You must be talking about the temperance fixed blades. I want the Lil temperance.
