Good question, except, since the Camillus Maxx isn't out yet, how would we know?
I've got the Buck/Strider, which is awesome, and I just ordered a Maxx. I think the Maxx will beat the Buck because ...
1) an integral lock is inherently stronger than a liner lock.
2) the Maxx is actually a simpler design, less to go wrong
3) the Maxx is way longer a blade at 5.5" to 4" for the Buck
4) the Buck has a great grip but the Maxx may be easier to carry
I don't use the Buck as much now as I did in warm weather, out hiking in the woods, and it isn't the most useful blade in the kitchen. I like to work my knives in the kitchen, since I need to cut up food anyway and I might as well cut it up with the best. It's also a great way to get accustomed to the weight and balance of the knife, and to test the edge and see how it resharpens.
BTW, the Buck edge held up real well cutting vines and branches, and the Sharpmaker restored the razor edge easily.
