I am just back from my annual elk chasing. While I did not run into a legal elk to take, one of our friends did. Skinning and quartering an elk is a lot of work. When I arrived with others and the packboards, Victor's knife was about dull. So.. I offerred my camp tramp for him to finish up with. In nothing flat the shoulders were off and he had stripped the meat from the ribs and neck. Wish it had been me processing my elk, but was happy to see the blade get some use.
I had my howling rat in my fanny pack. I was ready, but.....
So I guess the rest of the scorecard is Elk 1 Ed 0
There is always the late hunt! And deer season around the corner.
