No, I'm not giving up on sharpening it or on using it, I'm giving up on giving it a complete review.

When I bought this knife, I promised Eric a complete review. Then lots of things happened, and I haven't had time to do one. The way things are going, I won't be able to.

But what I have been able to do has been mixed. Every now and then, I get to do some cutting, and a whole lot of wood chopping. The knife has been absolutely exemplary in both tasks. So by now you're wondering, what's the mixed/bad part? I haven't been able to dull the damn thing! I've de-limbed (is that a word?) probably a dozen or so Christmas trees at my local recycling center (several of them frozen), whittled dozens of sticks, and cut several walking sticks for this summer. I've also done many full power stabs into said wood and snapped the tip out sideways to test the strength. Nothing. I've got sap and bark all over the knife, but that's about it. Sure, the edge rolled a little, then I steeled it, and it keeps coming back to full sharpness. I really want to try some of the tricks I've been reading on stropping, but the knife has to be dull first!!!

I'm just going to stick it on my backpack and take it out into the woods for a nice long weekend. Time for a spanking. Question is, who is going to get spanked, me or the CT?

man, my bet is that the CT is going to smack YOU all over the woods! ;) :D WE WANT PICS!!!!!

A few do not like using a steel but that is all I have used on my rats and they keep comin back for more! The HR is getting to that 'mousepad' stage however...

Let us know how the trip goes buddy! Be safe!

Don't give up yet...... well not until you get pictures of the abuse ;):D:D

I have to admit, I'm in the same boat. I've spent a lot of time torturing these blades and they just laugh at me. It has really hurt my self-esteem. ;):D:D
