Hey, I've got something I think is kind of interesting here...My dad picked this up at a Chicago-area flea-market about two years ago for something like $75. I know it's a SS Delica but that's it. I don't know if Spyderco released any with all the grinding/etching (I'm not sure what to call it) or if it was done by someone aftermarket. Any ideas on who may have done it or the value of a knife like this--not guessing it's extremely valuable or anything, just kind of curious. The knife looks awesome in person, the finish reflects light like it's a hologram--big WOW factor:eek: ! Thanks a lot!

...thanks guys, I knew if I posted a picture I'd learn something about it. It is definitely "jeweled," and I'm excited to learn that you can get that type of aftermarket work done at a reasonably low price--I love the look of this knife, but like I said, it's my Dad's knife so I have to give it back. Time to get my own.....:D

I have a feeling it was one done by the guys in that link provided by Slvgx.

I think that is similar to the way Ken Richardson always did his handmade knives from old crosscut saw blades. As I recall its a buff wheel on a drill press kind of thing. It does give an interesting eye dazzle to the knife.

Hot rodders, and car nuts will remeber this as "engine turning". It is a finish I love on almost anything.
