Is anyone familiar enough with these materials to tell me what they are? I was told they were pre-historic Ivory from Alaska....

Due to the lack of porosity (sp) I doubt very strongly that its bone.

Based mostly on the location that it was recovered. My vote would be fossil Mammoth ivory. Another tale tell is the grain structure and what looks to be maybe an infected nerve on one of them ( the dark black brown stripes). The dark brown one I am not to sure about though. I am sure about the top and bottom ones. Thats a good find, but I feel that most material would end up as waste if your tried to use them for handle slabs. I am not saying not to do it, just don't be surprised.

Thats just my semi educated guesstimate:). I could be plastic and your just pulling our legs:D.
