Been thinking about getting a new 301 and that yellow handled one is calling me, off I go to order one, THEN tell the spousal unit :D:D:D:D:D:D

Combat, if you tell me where you live, where you work, and your favorite outdoor hobby, I think with a little help from the forum guys we can get you an excellent "reason" for a yellow 301.
A "reason" that will make sense to your wife, either way, congrats.

I live in KY, work maintenance for the city, and I am a knifeaholic!....try not to tell my wife about all of my knifes, but have to let a few be seen that way I can sneak my GEC's by her:)

Order a 301 and a 303. Give the 303 to your wife. Tell her that you wanted to get a pair of matching knives.

Option A: She keeps the 303 and loves it... Many more matching sets to come

Option B: She really isn't into knives but realizes its the thought that counts. You end up with both and look good at the same time.

Either way you win.

ok, lets not forget

Option C: Your wife is unhappy, but you have TWO new knives... If you can cook you will be out of the doghouse by Monday.

You guys need to train, or retrain your "spousal units".

When I first got off into Bucks I showed her how the various models appreciated in value. Next thing I knew, she was scouring ebay for me and telling me about the good ones. May not have been a totally good thang...lol

But like the guns, she has seen how I can always at least get my money back, or even make a few $$$.

One of her best finds was in an old Oshmans store, and a rack of new old stock 110 clammies of the 100 year anniv models with the pin. When I found her, she had a basket and was going through the rack of them, picking out the best looking wood. At least on the side she could see. Don't remember just how many she bought. But that hiney sight thing, should have let her buy the entire rack full..

Oh yeah,,,we took Dad to buy him a pump shotgun many years ago. Found him a Remington 870 Wingmaster on sale for $88. (like I said MANY years ago). Got home from work next day and she had gone and bought me one.

Then she found her a deer rifle, cheap. Remington Mohawk 600 .243 with scope mounted for $103 plus tax. (again a long time ago) Those things now run $500 or better if you can find one.

I think I will keep her. :D

Just convince the SU's that your accumulations will increase in value.

We need the ideas expressed here preserved in a spousal training sticky.

Ah, I can't really complain. She bought me a Remington 7400 in 30-06 as a X-mas present while we were just dating. I knew then she was a keeper. Since then, she's bought me a couple of other guns, various outdoor gear, and a really nice mountain bike that I'd have never bought for myself. She doesn't give me grief over my knife hobby. :D
