I am no more a knife maker than I am an astronaut, But I will soon be getting some small kerambits that have cracked handles.
What I would like to do is fashion some handles out of carbon fiber for these little knives. What I want to find out is where can I get some of this material, and can I use a dremel tool to shape these? Also Would it be a better idea to send these off to a pro?
What might this cost to have done? Thanks

HI KC SLIM!!!

Send them off to a maker. A maker can get the fiber for cheaper and will also have the safety equipment to work it without any health hazards. Carbon fiber is very hazardous to grind. Unless you have a sealed resporator or an air helmet, don't even think of working with the stuff.

Thanks R.W. You probably saved me from destroying my lungs. Do you know anyone off the top of your head that could help me with this project?

ouch that does not sound fun. Hey Harry glad to see a fellow Fresno Forumite here. Thanks for the help RW. If I get these knives, I will send you a picture using a quarter for size comparison.
