Carnivore Tip Up Tip Down?

Folks,

I have two Carnivores, one with the clip on the butt - tip up, and one with the clip on the "blade pivot screw" - tip down. I like both of them, though I tend to use the tip up more since the blade is D2. Does anyone have other than a marginal preference for one or the other? Never had a problem with the tip up one opening in my pocket.

Thanks - Alan

Before i bout my carnivore, i was still up in the air. Afterwards, it was tip up all the way, hands down. Yes, i still have tip downs, but am scheming to tap all the liners and flip the clips as soon as my drill press control improves.

I find it puts the handle in a working grop straight from pocket removal in a way tip down never has. Also allows for a flick type opening need be (though, I still prefer the control of themb stud/hole if i can use it).

That said, some people will say the same thing for tip down, I'm sure. I would be happy if every folder came with enough holes to mount it right or left, tip down or tip up. Then we could all have our preferences without all this debate.

Tip up, or tip up capacity, is becoming a big criteria for my blade selection, unless conversion is an easy option.
