My friend Damon lent me his Escalator Trainer to try out on my heavy bag/training dummy.

I am impressed with both the quality of the trainer and with the robustness of the Rolling Lock. For the past few days, I have been giving the trainer a real workout. The lock has been rock solid.

Is REKAT planning to sell a trainer for the Carnivour? I would be very interested in one if you do.

Axel,

Looks like you might have to buy a Live one and dull it. There is some work involved, but I have done it to others...the trick is working it on a stone after you get the point completely rounded off and the edge completely dull, to make it "safe," that is, as safe as it can be...you have to make the whole edge and point area feel like a bar of soap...very smooth.

I know this is expensive, but it may be the only way to go!

Don,

I have done just such a thing with a BM AFCK. The trouble is that the tip is left thin. I still managed to put a hole in my Tidal Wave Heavy bag. I finally had to buy a leather piece to protect the bag.

The Escalator trainer is done very well with a thick tip and thinned mid blade to keep the weight similar. I would love to see the same treatment applied to a Carnivour.
