Here is my first carving knife & fork set. Was made for a very good customer here in Canada. He wanted the knife to look like a large version of my steak knife design to complement his steak knives.
Specs:
Knife:
Blade: 7 3/4" measured from end of bolsters
OAL: 13"
Fork:
Tynes: are 4" in length
OAL: 12"
Fork is ground from front of bolsters to tip of tynes in a tapered grind.
Steel: Both are ATS-34 Mirror Finished
Bolsters: 416SS Satin Finished
Handle: Stabilized Ash Burl
Pins: 416SS Corby Rivets
Case: Glass top, walnut case.
That fork was no where near as easy to make as I had envisioned! The inside of those tynes was a heck of alot of hand sanding to get them right.
Thanks very much for looking,
Sean
